B&Q superstore opening in Cumbria creates new jobs

Forty new jobs are being created in Penrith, Cumbria with the opening of a new B&Q store.

The DIY giant is closing its existing branch in Bridge Lane on June 19, before officially opening the doors to its 4,000sqm superstore, on Castle Retail Park, the following day.

The 20 existing staff members will move to the new premises, but B&Q has launched a recruitment drive to fill an additional 40 vacancies.
