B&Q managers to win shares for store performance

B&Q is awarding £9m of Kingfisher shares to more than 300 of its 331 store managers as part of a new employee scheme.

The Let's Share It scheme enables managers who meet the required store standards for displaying and selling gardening products to receive Kingfisher shares worth £25,000 over three years.

Every manager is supplied with an operating standards handbook on how their store should look, how stock and point-of-sale material should be displayed and how to provide the best customer service.

B&Q has spent £1m on providing employees with qualifications including City & Guilds, NVQ Retail Skills Level 2 and Home Improvement Knowledge Qualification.
