Lot 5 - Mechanical Removal of Trees for internal clients only
Tree Condition Surveys
Where a ground inspection is required, the contractor will be expected to provide a careful basic visual tree inspection from ground level paying particular attention to the general health and condition of the tree, evidence of decay, features of concern and weaknesses at the base and in the main forks. They must provide any evidence of poor anchorage and instability and any other observations concerning the tree and its environs which could affect the future of the tree and any adjacent structures and features.
The councils may require the use of decay detecting equipment to ascertain the extent of internal decay.
Where a full inspection is required, a detailed ground and climbing inspection of the tree should be carried out.
The closing date for receipt of expressions of interest is 8 November.
