All-Party Parliamentary Gardening and Horticulture Group visits Europe's largest living wall

Members of the All-Party Parliamentary Gardening and Horticulture Group (APPGHG) recently visited Europe's largest living wall at the Mint Hotel, London, which is set to open in the next few weeks.

Members including APPGHG chair Baroness Fookes, George Hollingbery MP and BALI chairman Paul Cowell were treated to a tour around the Mint Hotel – formerly the City Inn Hotel – which incorporates living walls and green roofs as an exemplar of sustainable green hotels.

The group was shown Europe’s largest living wall, which stretches over 1000m2 and the 300m2 green roof. Both surfaces are designed to provide cooling to the building, enhance local biodiversity and improve human well-being.
