The company was placed in the hands of administrators Gary Corbett and Darren Brookes of Milner Boardman and Partners in Cheshire on 16 November.
Brookes said it is unlikely that a buyer will be found for the business as a going concern. "The company has been forced into administration because of difficult conditions in this sector over the past 12 months," he added.
"Stock had been grown in bulk for indicative orders that did not materialise due to poor weather conditions."
The company is not still trading and the administrators have retained a skeleton staff to maintain the plant stock. The majority of staff - approximately 25 - have been made redundant.
Agents appointed by the administrators are dealing with the sale of the company's assets.
