Wyevale not for sale

Industry speculation that Sir Tom Hunter is about to sell Wyevale Garden Centres to supermarket giant ASDA has been dismissed.

Hunter's investment vehicle West Coast Capital (WCC) bought the garden retail chain in 2006. WCC representative Ewan Hunter told HW : "We don't comment on market speculation." An ASDA representative could not be contacted before HW went to press.
