Specifically, the group was awarded the gong for "best restaurant or bar in another space (UK category)" after its competition entry impressed a panel of judges made up of leading architects, designers, brand directors and chefs from all over the world.

Wyevale’s Coffee Ground concept was launched in September last year (2014) with the aim of cleverly utilizing garden centre space to provide customers with a high quality food and beverage offer as well as a good shopping experience.
All of the Coffee Ground coffee is organic, Fairtrade and Rainforest Alliance certified. Care is also taken to minimize the impact on the environment, which is why the coffee grounds are recycled to produce tables, cake stands and compost for UK gardens.
WGC is also the only coffee shop group in the UK to roll out "micro roasting," which means that its baristas can roast small batches of coffee throughout the day, filling the air with coffee aromas and adding to the "theatre" of roasting.
