The conference, from 3 - 4 December, will look at the latest data on public services, from in-house research to opinion polls, to see how austerity has affected service provision and what can be done to improve performance.
Parks will be the focus in one of a series of afternoon workshops to be run simultaneously on Day 1 of the conference.
The workshop will look at issues and opportunities facing the parks sector including income generation, community involvement, valuing green space assets, counting visitor numbers and the relative merits of low- and high-maintenance bedding schemes. The Land Audit Management System will also be discussed.
Phil Pritchard from Telford and Wrekin Council, Tim Ward-Dutton from Halton Borough Council and APSE's Wayne Priestley and Ian Jones will facilitate the workshop.
Workshops on cemeteries, streetscene and sports and leisure will also be held on the day.
