Wilkinson designed the winning garden using different colour flowers and plants as well as introducing waves. Day centre horticultural manager Peter Buscall said: "It's been brilliant for us but it's great for the students, too. It creates a purpose and also helps build confidence."
Herne Bay in Bloom approached the centre about the project last year. Students were offered the chance to take part in the competition to get their design made a reality in Hampton play park.
The day centre works with adults with learning disabilities to offer support and opportunities. Buscall said: "It's a fantastic opportunity for the workers and students alike - without them, the centre couldn't function."
