He said: "Having spent nine good years in Norfolk with these two exceptional companies, I’ve decided to call it a day and am heading off to pastures new and a fresh challenge.
"I am moving to The Butters Group in Spalding, Lincolnshire as their new business development manager. They are the one of the UK’s leading distributors of horticultural products with sales of over £52m a year supplying plants and products for in-store sale and home delivery, typically to household names including Marks & Spencer, J Sainsbury, John Lewis, Waitrose, Interflora and B&Q. It’s going to be very different role to what I have been used to, but I really am looking forward to it."
He added that his work is "primarily aimed at supermarkets and DIY outlets to begin with and then with the possibility of moving into the larger garden centre groups. I will be involved with the progression of the expansion of the Butters Group’s nursery and its policy of developing UK growing for plants traditionally imported from abroad."
He starts with Butters on 16 November.
