Wildlife Gardening Forum conference to focus on soil

The next conference of the Wildlife Gardening Forum is being held on 24 June 2015 at the Flett Lecture Theatre of the Natural History Museum in London.

This is the Food and Agriculture Organisation's International Year of Soils and the conference will be soil focused.

The conference will provide insights into soil ecology, and the importance of symbiotic relationships with fungi and other micro-organisms, plus a series of talks about important soil inhabitants. There will be a discussion session after lunch.

Among the speakers will be Dr. Matthew Shepherd, Natural England senior specialist – soil biodiversity and Caroline Coursie, agricultural advisor for Wildlife Trusts.

The fee for the conference is £35, which includes a sandwich lunch and refreshments through the day.
