Travis Perkins reported revenues of £3.1bn in the first half of its financial year, 5.8 per cent up on the same time last year. Pre-tax profits of £176m were 10.7 per cent up on last time.
Its consumer division, which includes both DIY and garden chain Wickes, and Toolstation, reported 6.5 per cent like-for-like sales growth in the six months to June 30, above the group result of 3.1 per cent. Total sales were £766m, up 10.5 per cent.
Travis Perkins chief executive John Carter said: "We plan to continue to invest in our businesses where we can generate strong returns and create value for our shareholders over the long-term."
