The rose variety printed on the cover of the catalogue is ‘Charisma’. This was bred by Reinhard Noack and introduced and grown by Whartons in Norfolk. It is for sale this coming autumn onwards.
‘Charisma’ is a strong growing hybrid tea rose which produces fragrant blooms that are red in bud opening to a dark pink. Its tough growth makes it resistant to pests and diseases and its vigour quickly produces new shoots with flowers from early summer and into late autumn.
Owner Robert Wharton said: "We have great expectations for this variety which has everything you could want from a rose."
Customers are welcome to visit Wharton's 50ha of rose fields in Norfolk to view production from mid-July onwards.
