The WAFTAs or Webbs Awards for Training and Achievements, was a celebration of staff at the Webbs garden centres in Wychbold and West Hagley and their hard work over the last year.

Webbs staff went along to the Chateau Impney, Droitwich, to find out who were the stars scooping this year’s top awards.

Certificates and prizes were presented to staff to celebrate a wide range of initiatives and individual and department successes including Colleague of the Year – voted for by staff – awarded to Sophie Robinson from the Wychbold store and Jane Cook of Webbs, West Hagley who was also named as Best Newcomer. Long service awards were given to Jayne Green (10 years), Lindsey Burton (10 years) and Lyn Kemp (20 years).

Chairman Ed Webb said: "I’m immensely proud of our staff and the WAFTAS is a wonderful way to celebrate the achievements and dedication of individuals and teams to the ongoing success of the business. They are our most important asset, passionate about their industry and the quality of service we provide our customers."
