John Lewis saw strong growth on the year with total sales +£75.5m, +6.1 per cent year on year. The improving weather drove Outdoor Living product sales which were +11.9 per cent.
HTA chief executive Carol Paris said: "Trade has picked up now. It started cold and wet but now it's looking much better."
Glendoick's Ken Cox said: "Trade has picked up last two weeks. We had our best ever weekend two weeks ago thanks to kind weather and pent up demand."

Crocus co-founder Clay said Crocus is no longer fulfilling the Daily Telegraph’s online offer, with Hayloft replacing it. Clay said: "We wanted to concentrate on those seeing enormous growth potential – the RHS and Waitrose have seen phenomenal growth as has our own site. We’re up by more than five per cent on 2015.
