Vitax to showcase product design at Glee

UK garden and horticulture company Vitax is planning to make product design a central theme at Glee this year.

Over the past two years Vitax has been working with garden centres and other customers to revitalise its product range and inspire gardeners by making it easier to choose the right product straight off the shelf simply through how it looks.

Vitax said the transformation of its product design has been central to its continuing business success as well as its flexibility to meet the need of customers and gardeners quickly.

"Gardening has grown in popularity and we are seeing many new, young gardeners with different spending habits. Garden centres are responding by opening online shops whilst others have improved layouts and displays to help direct gardeners to the right product," said Vitax sales manager Colin Wetherley-Mein.

"As a manufacturer we not only need to respond to the desire for new products but also support our customers to ensure they sell the right products based on demand. For the past few years we have worked with garden centres to understand where we need to adapt to help drive sales which has resulted in new packaging and re-design of key products."

Vitax will be showcasing its organic range in addition to popular brands such as Nippon, SBK, 6X and Slug Gone.

Slug Gone and 6X are among the products that will have new sizes available for the 2016 season. Product ranges with new additions include Nippon and fertilisers.
