When we tested the Viking MB750 rotary mower (HW, 27 March) we found it to be sturdy, quick and adjustable for comfort. But we also said we would like to be able to wheel it without the blades turning and that operators need to be fit to constantly restart the engine after emptying the 80-litre grass catcher.
Manufacturer Stihl listened. The MB750 is now available with blade brake clutch to make this an attractive package for contractors.
Sally Drury has reported for HW and its forerunner GC&HTJ for 25 years, and has spent more than five years testing machinery for HW and What Kit? The advice in this helpline is independent.
