Situated 800ft above the bright lights of London on the open-air sky deck, the sky-high garden has had 300 sq meters of LazyLawn's white 'Funky' grass installed.

LazyLawn teamed up with British designers Bompas and Parr to create the Height of Winter experience, which runs until 31 January. It includes glowing ice crystal benches, snow dunes, Snow White hot chocolate and mulled champagne.

Duncan Welsh, events sales manager at The View from The Shard, said: "This is the first year the 'Height of Winter' experience has come to the View from The Shard and with an expected 150,000 visitors, we wanted an artificial grass which was durable and was easy to clean.

"We are delighted with the overall result as it's completely transformed the space into a winter wonderland. The pile height is resilient and the texture of the grass replicates the real sound of snow crunching under your boots."

Andy Driver, marketing director at LazyLawn, said: "Our Funky range continues to be very popular. Its durability and low maintenance means it's perfect for a busy place like The View from The Shard in this case.

"Other colours are available in the Funky range, so we can offer a LazyLawn solution for every garden or landscape project."
