The williamsii hybrid, ‘Jennifer Trehane’ has a full peony-form pink flower with white edging and is very free flowering. It has an upright, compact shape.
The plant has been tested for garden-worthiness at Dorset’s Trehane Nursery for the last 17 years and is a sport of the pure white camellia, ‘Jill Totty’, first discovered and propagated at Trehane in 1995.
It will be available for the first time at the RHS London Plant and Design Show on 19 and 20 February 2013.
‘Jennifer Trehane’ will be available direct from the nursery and costs from £10.50 to £16.50 dependant on plant size.
Four other new camellia varieties are also featured in Trehane’s 2013 catalogue and all will be available online at www.trehane.co.uk.
