He will be responsible for the promotion of the brand to retailers across the UK.  He will also look after the company’s new exclusive range of branded gardening accessories including The Good Life, Laura Ashley and Peter Rabbit.

Thompson started his career as a trainee garden centre manager with Sainsbury’s Homebase and has since worked as a deputy garden centre manager with Wyevale and Dobbies and as a general manager with the Blue Diamond Group and Notcutts.  He then joined Treadstone Products as a national sales manager, before being promoted to his current role.

"Treadstone Products has a reputation for providing innovation and quality and is in the process of launching a number of lines, so it is a very exciting time to join the company," he said.

"Matt has a vast amount of experience of our industry and we’re confident his skills and knowledge will help take Treadstone forward.  We know he will be an integral part of our team and we are very much looking forward to the future," said Graham Sharp, managing director of Treadstone Products.

Treadstone Products offers over 500 consumer products ranging from gift sets, wellingtons, baskets and umbrellas to core gardening products such as cloches, frost protection, plant ties and stakes, netting and weed suppression.
