Three-in-one Terra Float Air aerator

Designed as a productive combination of surface conditioner and overseeder, the new Terra Float Air from Wiedenmann UK combines three units in one to give a one-pass machine with 1.6m working width.

The base unit, the Terra Float, aerates and loosens soil to 30mm using either spikes or fine slits at 1,500 holes or 500 slits per square metre respectively. The second unit, a brush and roller set, incorporates top dressing materials to the ground before smoothing the surface. Finally, a pneumatic air seeder unit sits atop, assuring a receptive seed bed either before or after top dressing.

The air stream directs precise amounts of seed to the prepared perforated holes. A series of steel deflector plates ensures uniform depositing of the seed from a short distance. Lifting the unit out of work automatically triggers the shut-off so seed is not wasted. For follow-up activity, a memory function on the control panel allows storage of input and calibration data.
