Terra Firma care home dispute "separate" to Wyevale

Wyevale says Terra Firma Capital Partner's legal action to protect its ownership position in Britain's biggest care homes operator "is a completely separate story" and "doesn't relate to any other Terra Firma portfolio business".

Four Seasons Health Care, acquired by Guy Hands' private equity firm Terra Firma in 2012 for £825m, is in the High Court trying to overturn security obligations to lenders that it claims were accidentally imposed in 2016.

Four Seasons is seeking to refinance, as is Wyevale ahead of releasing the garden centre group's annual results, which it must do by 30 September, and hoped to do in August.

Wyevale, bought by Terra Firma in 2012 for £276m, said "accounts are currently being finalised" and the company has until end September to file – "it has always been the plan to file within that deadline".
