South Oxfordshire District Council
Closing Date: 11/12/2009

LANDSCAPE IMPLEMENTATION CONTRACT

Closing Date: 11/12/2009

South Oxfordshire District Council is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced landscape contractors wishing to be included in a select tender list, under a restricted tender process, for the provision of landscape and environmental improvements to Ladygrove Park, Didcot.

The service shall comprise improvements in the public realm (ie. surfacing materials, street furniture, etc), greenspaces and boundary treatments, creation of swales, tree and hedgerow planting.

Tenderers should have experience in implementing similar schemes, particularly in residential developments and adjacent to highways.  It is anticipated that the contract will commence in March 2010.

Interested parties should note that the designs are currently being reviewed by the local planning authority, which may impact on when tenders are issued to the shortlisted contractors.  In addition, South Oxfordshire District Council is currently in negotiation with developers of the Ladygrove residential estate in respect of land ownership issues, which could cause further delays to the contract commencement date.

With the above issues in mind, South Oxfordshire District Council reserves the right to withdraw from the award of a contract for these works at any stage of the tender process.

Contractors wishing to be included in this process should apply in writing, using the Prequalification Questionnaire (PQQ) available from South Oxfordshire District Council's website www.southoxon.gov.uk/adverts or by contacting Dominic Lamb

(Countryside Officer), South Oxfordshire District Council, Benson Lane, Crowmarsh Gifford, Wallingford, Oxfordshire OX10 8HQ, Tel: 01491 823133, E-mail: dominic.lamb@southoxon.gov.uk

Completed PQQs, together with all requested documentation must be returned no later than 1200 hrs (noon) on 11th December 2009.  From this information provided, we intend to select a shortlist of six suitable companies who will be invited to tender.
