Team prepares for challenge

A team of 19 landscapers and nurserymen who are taking on Britain's three highest mountains has raised £1,815 so far for Perennial, the charity which helps those in the horticultural industry. But the amount is a long way from their £20,000 target.

The team plans to climb Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowden - and cycle the 450 miles between them - in just six days. The challenge starts on 6 September. Joint group leader Brian Herbert, who is managing director of Outdoor Options, said: "We want to raise funds for a charity that supports people in our industry."
