Syngenta launches new turf fungicide

Syngenta has launched a new turf fungicide this week containing two active ingredients to control foliar and soil-borne fungal diseases.

Headway combines azoxystrobin and propiconazole and is approved for control of foliar and soil-borne turf diseases, including Fusarium patch, take-all, anthracnose, dollar spot and leaf spots.

Syngenta turf and amenity technical manager Simon Watson said Headway achieved virtually 100 per cent control of Fusarium eight weeks after application in trials.

Watson said: "The significantly smaller particles in Headway continuously redistribute the powerful actives through the plant to protect the growing leaf surface. Systemic movement replenishes the fungicide protection after mowing, for incredible long-lasting results."
