Dealmaker Awards said: The Sutton Seeds MBO was an innovative deal that secured the future of the business in Paignton. A complicated deal by all accounts, which included historic losses and onerous property leases among other obstacles, the MBO now allows the management to enact their turnaround plan without needing to raise further funds. The outcomes for the local economy were also significant with over 100 jobs retained. Mark Greaves and Nick Woodmansey of Francis Clark and Duncan Sykes and Adam McKenna of Foot Anstey also worked on the deal."

The award was among 10 handed out on a night that celebrated the successes of the region's dealmaking community in the last 12 months. Held at the Bristol Marriott, City Centre, the awards were hosted by Ed Chamberlin and gathered almost 300 professionals.
