Clematis ‘Tie Dye’ is exclusive to Thorncroft Clematis and proved a star attraction on Tracy Foster’s ‘Guide Dog’s Garden.’
It sports violet blue and mauvy-white flowers with a marbled effect, flowering from late summer to mid autumn.
A Jackmanii variety, it reaches around 10 feet and needs hard pruning in the spring.
Thorncroft Clematis partner Jonathon Gooch said the company were disappointed to have missed the Chelsea launch but were delighted to be able to supply Foster’s garden.
We are only doing one show this year – Chelsea- and we just couldn’t get ‘Tie Dye’ ready in time. Tracy came to us to ask if we had anything she could use on the guide dogs garden and we were very happy to be able to help.
Bred in America, ‘Tie Dye’ will available exclusively through Thorncroft in September, priced £14.50 for a two litre pot.
