Can you suggest a supplier of oak barrels?

Assuming you are looking to use them in the landscape and not for making beer, wine or whisky, there a number of sources of reclaimed barrels in the UK.

An internet search will reveal many companies able to supply them - whole or halved or ready-made into planters, water butts or items of garden furniture. Companies like do business through the internet. Barrels from 180 litres to 450 litres are available from the online shop with prices from £89 to £179 including VAT.

Alternatively, you might try Tipton-based The Barrel Company. This firm offers ready-made planters from £45 including VAT. In Chichester, Oak Tubs supplies 70cm-diameter barrel-planters from £30 including VAT.

Seahawes - importer and supplier of reclaimed materials and garden products - offers barrels suitable for landscaping use. This company also supplies a wide range of other materials, including sleepers, beams, decking and reclaimed York-stone paving.
