Stax boss to speak at GIMA conference

David Hibbert, managing director for Stax Trade Centres - one of the UK's biggest non-food cash and carry wholesaler and trade suppliers - is to be a guest speaker at the Garden Industry Manufacturer's Association (GIMA)'s day conference in Birmingham next month.

The one-day conference, held on November 4 at Wyevale’s Melbicks Garden Centre in Coleshill, will see Hibbert talk to delegates about the changes the business has made, particularly over the last five years, to cope with the distribution demands for its growing gardening category.

Representatives from Kingfisher Bonnington Plastics will speak about how the firm, after recently winning several legal cases, is successfully tackling IP infringement and online counterfeiters. Kingfisher Bonnington Plastics is keen to share its experience and so its legal team will therefore provide delegates with practical tools to help them in this area.

Rebecca Hardy, director of Client HR from Kidwells Solicitors, will also be providing delegates with an update on the latest changes to HR legislation, including the recent EU Working Time Directive changes.

The day conference is open to anyone who wishes to attend, with GIMA members benefiting from subsidised rates.
