Society accolade for Notcutts staff

Fifth member awarded membership to Society of Garden Designers

A Midlands landscaping outfit is celebrating another member of its design team being awarded membership to the Society of Garden Designers (SGD). Matt Nichol of Birmingham is the fifth designer at Shirley-based Notcutts Landscapes to be affiliated to the SGD, which was set up to provide the public with a recognised standard of competence. Notcutts Landscapes director Jason Lock, who is also an SGD member, said: “Given the high standards demanded, membership of the society represents a real achievement, both for Matt and the Notcutts team. It also reinforces our commitment to provide the best quality design service for our clients alongside our award-winning construction services.” Nichols joined the team just over two years ago after gaining an HNC in garden design at Pershore College, Worcestershire, and running his own design-and-build business.
