Recently I applied for the job at Westland and got it a few weeks ago, although I was already keen to get into horticulture. I liked the look of Westland because it's a progressive, "growing" industry.

How did you get started? My father is a trained horticulturist and he encouraged me from an early age. I had my first allotment at 14 - unusual for a teenage girl. I thought it could be a worthwhile and enjoyable career so I studied horticulture at Pershore College.
