Trees planted in forest deal

More than 30 Vitax customers have planted 500 trees in two hours as part of the company's three-year sponsorship agreement with the National Forest Company in Normanton le Heath, Leicestershire.
The Forestry Commission needs to re-establish an external advisory committee to improve on the current "inadequate" monitoring of scientific research, an independent review of the work of its agency Forest Research has concluded.
