Fruit fly triggers Auckland checks

The discovery of a Queensland fruit fly (Bactrocera tryoni) in Auckland, New Zealand, has led to a lockdown within a 1.5km radius.
The wet start to the growing season has increased the risk of cavity spot on carrots, particularly the UK's most widely planted variety Nairobi, according to Syngenta field technical manager Ian Holmes.
