Kingfisher profits up 19 per cent

B&Q owner Kingfisher has reported pre-tax profits of £797m, up 19 per cent on 2010. Turnover rose by 3.6 per cent in the year to January 28 to £10.8bn.

Agricultural chemicals company Yara International ASA has announced strong third-quarter results, primarily reflecting a margin improvement compared with last year.
Thompson & Morgan has declined to comment on a rumour that it is up for sale and worth around £25m.
