Bayer Garden is warning gardeners to be aware of damping off problems now that Cheshunt Compound has been withdrawn by the Chemicals Regulation Directorate. It is only available for domestic use until 30 November.

Fera has identified another outbreak of Phytophthora kernoviae, a fungal infection that can kill trees and shrubs, in Cornwall.
Phytophthora ramorum has been found in a tree in the same country park in Scotland where Phytophthora lateralis was confirmed in Lawson's cypress trees late in 2010.
The Government is to move to a policy of containing the pest oak processionary moth within five West London boroughs where it has become established since it was first discovered in the area in 2006.
