Richard Longthorp, chair, Lantra Sector Skills Council, England Council

Lantra Sector Skills Council has created an England Council. Its chair is Yorkshire farmer Richard Longthorp.

The council aims to influence policy and skills development in 2010 and beyond and includes representatives from 10 of the sector's industries as well as Landex and the union Unite. David Linton, founder of potato grower Fylde Fresh and Fabulous, represents the production horticulture industry.
