The son of renowed rosarian, the late Peter Beales, who died in 2013, left Peter Beales Roses in 2014 after his father’s death to become a garden designer.
He has now changed the name of his business to Richard Beales Roses from Richard Beales Design & Consultancy.
Beales is based in Banham, Norfolk, and is returning to his first love. He plans an online shop, to develop his own breeding and to explore new methods of producing roses.
There will be no connection with Peter Beales Roses, which continues to trade from Attleborough in Norfolk.
Richard Beales is also promoting the Plantgrow plant fertiliser product, launched at Glee. The natural plant food, a residue of the anaerobic digestion process, is aimed at amateurs and professionals.
