RIBA calls for entries for annual CABE Public Space Award

RIBA has launched a call for entries to its annual prize scheme that celebrates the best in building and public space.

As well as the annual RIBA Stirling Prize — won by the Maggie's Centre in London last year — one fo the awards will go to the most exemplary public space.

The RIBA CABE Public Space Award will be presented to the creators of the best space between buildings.

The £5,000 prize "recognises the growing importance and valuable contribution that well-designed public spaces make to the quality of our built environment and to our daily lives".

The closing date for entries is at  5pm on 19 February.

Entry forms can now be downloaded from www.architecture.com/awards. Any queries to Clemency Christopherson in the RIBA Awards Office on 020 7307 3715 or awards@inst.riba.org.
