RHS Chelsea medals announced with Andy Sturgeon/Daily Telegraph best in show

The RHS has announced show garden and nursery medals, with best in show revealed as Andy Sturgeon for his geologically-inspired garden for the Daily Telegraph, built by Crocus.

  • Hillier won a 71st consecutive gold medal.
  • Jo Thompson and Cleve West took show gardens gold, as did James Basson and Paul Martin.
  • Andy Sturgeon won gold, as did Chris Beardshaw.
  • Sam Ovens won silver gilt.
  • Matthew Wilson won silver.
  • Juliet Sargeant's Modern Slavery garden won gold in the Fresh section as did Martin Cook/Gary Breeze.
  • Birmingham City Council won gold.
  • Hardy's Cottage Garden Plants, Heucheraholics and Pennard Plants were among nurseries to win gold.
  • Hewitt Cooper Carnivorous Plants won gold, as did Harperley Nurseries, Fibrex and Harts.
