The 5,000 Poppies Project is seeing 300,000 commemorative poppies will unveiled at next week's Chelsea Flower Show.

The crocheted poppies were created as part of the 5,000 Poppies Project, which began in Australia to mark Anzac Day. When 250,000 of them had been created, the poppies were displayed in Melbourne’s landmark Federation Square and on Princes Bridge.

Landscape designer Phillip Johnson is responsible for bringing the poppies to London.

The design by Johnson features a simple central geometric installation, complemented by the stemmed poppies covering almost 2,000sqm.
