RHS Chelsea Flower Show film to be released

A feature film charting the life of Irish garden designer Mary Reynolds is to hit cinemas on 9 September.

Dare to be Wild follows Mary Reynolds’ adventures from the green hills of her native Ireland, to the desert highlands of Ethiopia, to London’s Chelsea for the garden design competition of 2002.

The film explores Reynolds’ quest to win the gold medal at the 2002 RHS Chelsea Flower Show with her ‘wild’ Celtic Sanctuary garden design.

Her book The Garden Awakening: Designs To Nurture Our Land and Ourselves was published this year.

Future Forests garden centre in West Cork was involved in the film.
