Managing director Paul Moors said: "I am so proud of the way in which we have developed since our humble beginnings as European Sales Direct.
"Since founding GCF we have attracted some of the leading professionals in the field, with Brian Redman and Tim Jacob spear-heading our team. With over 65 years of collective experience between us, I am really excited about the future, starting with our exhibition at this year’s HTA National Plant Show.
Jacob was sales manager at Farplants for 19 years before moving to Squires two years ago. He was on the Tillington marketing committee and was negotiator with several growers.
Moors said the past year has seen business boom for GCF while a new web shop has launched with an extensive range of product "making it easier for clients to access a wider range of European stock".
He added: "In addition to launching licensed collections for the Royal Botanical Garden, Kew, GCF have significantly secured key accounts such as the Blue Diamond Group, Van Hage and Squires.
"I've restructured the business to gear up for a planned expansion across the UK garden retail sector. With my new team in place, I believe we are ideally positioned to become the leading supplier for European plant stock."
