Rentokil Tropical Plants wins nine awards at Efig ceremony

Indoor plant specialist awarded for work in design, installation and and maintenance of public indoor displays

Rentokil Tropical Plants has won nine medals at the European Federation of Interior-Landscape Groups (Efig) excellence ceremony. The indoor plant specialist, which is part of international support services company Rentokil Initial, won the medals for its work in designing, installing and maintaining plants in offices and shopping centres. The company won the gold award for design and installation and the gold maintenance award for designing, developing and looking after Sheffield Winter Garden. Rentokil Tropical Plants general manager Ian Thompson said: “These are a true reflection of our amazingly talented workforce, which not only designs breath-taking displays, but also demonstrates specialist skills and knowledge in looking after exotic and unusual plants.” He was especially pleased with the Sheffield project. It took two months to install 2,000 plants into 400 tonnes of soil. Rentokil sourced the plants from Italian nurseries Faro, Vannucci and San Lorenzo.
