Recognising achievement

With 2013 coming to a close, it is hard to imagine a better way to end the year than with a celebration of the achievements of those who create, build and maintain, to the highest possible standards, the very best landscaping projects in the UK - from private gardens to major public realm commissions.

To that end, it really is a great pleasure to distribute a special supplement celebrating the achievements of this year's BALI National Landscape Awards winners, to all our subscribers.

Winners of the principal, special and grand awards were announced before more than 700 industry professionals last week at London's Grosvenor House at a spectacular event on 6 December which Horticulture Week was delighted to organise and support. Congratulations to all the worthy winners of this year's awards.

Meanwhile, with a truly bumper crop of entries in for the UK Grower Awards 2014, and the judging process now underway, we look forward to another great opportunity to celebrate the achievements of the horticulture industry – this time the stars of the UK's production sector – in twelve weeks time.

The next print edition will be published on Friday 10 January 2013. In the meantime, our online news services will keep you up to date with the latest developments until Friday 20th December, when our last daily Breakfast Briefing news bulletin of 2013 will be published. This will also be the date of our last weekly Horticulture Week Online Edition of the year for subscribers. Breakfast Briefing will return on Friday 3 January 2014, and the weekly Horticulture Week Online Edition on Friday 10th.

From all of us at HW, we wish you a very happy Christmas and a prosperous new year.
