Products Just Out - Phoenix tines

Ninety per cent of aeration tines are made by three American companies. One of them, Ceres Turf, is now supplying Phoenix tines in the UK through an exclusive dealership with The Grass Group.

The tines are made by a complex thermo-chemical metal treatment carried out in a vacuum under extreme heat and pressure to provide a reconstitution of the best available steel alloy. The multi-step process creates a tighter cell structure and results in a new, more durable metal composition.

Phoenix tines are said to pull up to 30 per cent more material and are guaranteed to last three-to-four times as long as comparable steel alloy tines and shorten the "grow-in" by a third.
