He added: "Challenges remain with very cheap prices from larger European players, although recent days and the fluctuations in the euro have helped to make growers a bit more aware of how things can turn very quickly when exposed to euro purchases. We picked up quite a few orders last week where growers suddenly thought the euro was going to strengthen even further and they didn't want to be exposed to the risks associated with it. "The order book is looking nicely up at this stage and the effect of this new focus has been a dedicated sales team that has been pushing top-quality products, where growers have confidence and to a market that is much more buoyant than in the last few years. Our ever-extending range is also adding to the offer, again as part of the Volmary ownership. We now offer more than 5,000 products including vegetables and seeds, which we didn't previously offer at all."
