Not only does it provide 50 per cent more stored energy compared with the existing largest battery on the market - giving a full day's work on one charge - it powers the complete range of Pellenc tools from blowers to mowers and is also IP54 rated. Working in the rain with a battery powered product is no longer an issue.

The battery also features additional advantages. It is designed to go into a "sleep" mode after 24 hours of inactivity, as opposed to three days on earlier models. A completely new harness has been designed around operator comfort and allows the battery to be stood upright when taken off the user's back. Yet another new feature is the ability to fit the cable from either top or bottom, depending on the equipment being powered.

The ULB1500 will complete more than 1,200 recharging cycles - five years' use or up to 7,000 litres of petrol. A full display on the front allows the user to see data on power consumption, fuel savings, the tools that have been used and battery life remaining from the last recharge.
