Owner Michael Hill has applied for planning permission to South Oxfordshire Council to demolish greenhouses and other nursery buildings on a 2,426 sqm plot on the eastern half of the site to be replaced by housing.

Agent is Giles Lovegrove.

Some 360sqm of internal retail floorspace would be lost. The garden centre would continue trading from smaller premises.

The site is earmarked for nine dwellings in Woodcote’s neighbourhood plan.

The nearby former Chinnor Garden Centre plans demotion of existing buildings and the erection of 39 dwellings.
