Oregon PowerSharp

Chainsaw chains dulled by contact with stones, metal or soil can now be sharpened effectively in the field thanks to a new system available in the UK from Oregon distributor Blount (UK).

The PowerSharp system couples a saw chain with a proprietary sharpening tool and comes in two kits - a specially-designed guide-bar and bar-mount sharpener and a purpose-designed PowerSharp chain with a diamond-coated link, plus a sharpening stone installed on the guide bar and bar-mounted sharpener.

For many users, the guide-bar and bar-mounted sharpener kit is a once-only purchase, and only the chain and sharpening stone need replacing.
