Numbers reached 16,000 for forestry and woodland show

APF 2008, the UK's largest forestry and woodland exhibition, which took place last week at Cannock Chase, Staffordshire, has reported record numbers of both exhibitors and visitors.

Exhibition Secretary, Ian Millward said the show had 16,000 visitors attend over the three days, an 18% increase on 2006.  He added: "Exhibitor numbers mirrored this with an increase of 20% to 250.  We are absolutely delighted with the result."

Many exhibitors reported that it was their best show yet and that they took a lot of orders at the event. One exhibitor sold 11 sawmills from their stand and another took orders worth nearly a £1 million pounds.
